Growing Community

We are a community of volunteer-led gardeners growing organically in a beautiful setting. Our Mission is to provide residents of Avon Lake a space to garden.

Good for Everyone

Growing Community

Being part of a community garden is good for you.  Growing your own food, or flowers, increases physical activity, improves your nutrition, and improves your mental health.  Whatever your reason, we're glad you're here.

We currently have a waitlist for plots, but don't hesitate to inquire at the email below. Plots are $25.00 for a 4x12 space.

We are currently looking for help from our members. Please consider one of the positions mentioned below.

Member Volunteer Help Needed

Grounds Committee

Need 6-12 Members

Headed by Bob Kish, this committee enforces our by-law compliance.  Major areas of emphasis are weed control, (in and around plots), planting restrictions, border maintenance, and other appropriate by-laws. If interested, please contact us.

Fence Committee

Need 6-12 Members

This committee will periodically inspect the fence line, make minor repairs, and recommend the timing of fence replacement.  This committee will not be responsible for replacing the fence as another committee will be created for that.  The fence committee is headed by Al Garceau. If interested, please contact us.

Weed Committee

Need 6-12 Members

This committee is looking for a leader! Would be tasked with weed control along the fence line and in the common areas around the shed.  A strong solution of vinegar is the weapon of choice.
